Armed robbers ram-raid a truck and steal 400,000 euros worth of video games
A truck containing 6,000 copies of Modern Warfare 3 has been robbed in Paris, according to French news service TFI.
On Saturday morning, the truck carrying the game reportedly collided with a car in Crèteil, South Paris upon which two masked individuals emerged. The truck drivers were neutralized with tear gas allowing the criminals to make off with the games estimated to be worth 400,000 Euros ($550,000).
An earlier incident of theft of the game saw an Activision employee reportedly steal a copy and upload the contents to the internet.
Modern Warfare 3 picks up where the second instalment ended with the Russian Federation continuing their invasion of the US while also branching out to UK, France, and Germany.
MW3 is expected to be the largest release this year and according to Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter will sell 10% more then MW2 with estimated revenues of $1.1 billion in six weeks time.
