MMO introduces new ships, new visuals and a host of improvements
Some spaceship rebalances have been made in the expansion
CCP have announced the release of EVE Online: Crucible, the latest expansion to their successful MMO.
The expansion boasts over 50 new features along with hundreds of enhancements that is expected to improve the experience. It upgrades the game’s visuals with Nebulas given redesigns, impressive views in interstellar space, and scalable UI.
Players will also be introduced to a new selection of ships such as Tier 3 Battlecruisers, which will offer new strategies. Aside from the new ships, the current assortment of vessels has undergone rebalancing and tweaks in order to refine the game’s combat.
For both PvE and PvP, loot drops have been tweaked to increase rewards.
Additionally, CCP have two promotions taking place side-by-side with the expansion’s release. Active, paying customers from November 30 to December 5 will be given a Genolution CA-1 in-game implant through the game’s redemption system. The implant will have an attribute bonus, boost certain hardwiring skills and is only the first of two implants players will receive. The second one will be made available in December.
The second promotion involves giving all active players a 60-day trail code to pass on to their friends or family.
EVE Online: Crucible could not come at a better time for CCP given recent fan dissatisfaction at the direction the popular MMO had taken.
