More in-game jobs to be introduced later, says game director
A report from Andriasang has shed some light on recent announcements from Jump Festa regarding the upcoming Dragon Quest X beta. The beta is currently expected to take place sometime between February 14 and March 14, according to the producer Yosuke Saito. Square Enix plans to begin the drawing for the first round beta testers sometime in January with more added over the duration of the testing.
A few new details on support for the game were also given. Director Jin Fujizawa said that the game will ship with the current six jobs, but that more will be added later down the line, including a few that DQ fans will not be expecting. Current jobs in the game consist of typical RPG roles, including warrior, mage, and monk.
During a Q&A session, Saito was how the Wii and the Wii U versions would differ. He said “The Wii version is totally fun! The Wii U version is totally fun! And it’s also extremely beautiful.” So DQ fans can at least expect to have fun.
