Run-off vote sees Hong Kong knocked back to second place

Harebrained Schemes has finally announced Berlin as the winning city for its Shadowrun Returns contest.

The capital of Germany beat out Hong Kong in the final vote, and will now be incorporated as the second city in the upcoming game.

Harbrained Schemes, as a reward for backers of its Kickstarter project, held a vote to determine which additional city should be added to Shadowrun Returns, their widely-popular Kickstarter project.

In the original vite, backers had to choose between Denver, Hong Kong, Chicago, Berlin, London, and Seattle. Due to an extremely close vote, the project went into a run-off poll last weekend between Berlin and Hong Kong, with Berlin emerging victorious. Only backers of the Kickstarter project had access to the poll.

Shadowrun Returns ranks third on the list of most funded video game projects on Kickstarter, and ended with more than triple its initial funding goal of $400,000, finishing with $1,836,447 raised.

Shadowrun Returns is set to release for PC, Mac and Linux in January 2013.
