BioWare set to keep making multiplayer DLC if demand remains
Mass Effect 3 developers seem ready to put multi-player DLC to the side in the near future as they have a single player focused DLC in their sights. Speaking to Joystiq, BioWare producer Mike Gamble said the currently unnamed DLC will probably revolve around Commander Shepard on a new possibly Reaper-filled venture.
He said, “We want to do single-player DLC. We want to do single-player, maybe more multi-player if people still play it.
“Mass Effect 3 is Shepard’s story, so the single-player DLC for Mass Effect 3 will probably focus around Shepard.”
Gamble has given no time frame for fans to check off on their calendars but if the developer’s DLC trend continues it wouldn’t be surprising to see it soon.
BioWare has already released four multi-player focused DLCs since the launch of ME3, including the heavy Earth DLC only recently.
Earth is a free DLC packed with new classes, weapons, and maps, and has just been released across XBL, PS3, and PC. Only the Extended Cut has been released as any addition to the single-player campaign, and as we are all aware, it took much fan outcry. This upcoming release should give fans refreshing reason to head back to war with Shepard.
