Capcom also confirms new game mode – Agent Hunt – for all versions
A PC version of Capcom’s Resident Evil 6, which released for consoles last October, will be available on Steam from March 22. In Europe, fans will also have the option of purchasing a physical disk on the same date.
The latest version of the game will include the additional changes and gameplay modes – such as access to the fourth campaign and the extra difficulty mode -that the console game has received through updates.
Additionally, the Steam version of Resident Evil 6 will support Cloud Saves, Steam leaderboards and other Steam features.
The publisher recommends a CPU equal to or better than the Intel CoreTM 2 Quad 2.7Ghz or AMD PhenomTM II X4 3Ghz. Gamers should also have 4GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 or better.
However, the game will also run if users have Intel CoreTM2 Duo 2.4Ghz or AMD AthlonTM X2 2.8Ghz, 2GB RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS.
Capcom also confirmed the addition of another gametype, Agent Hunt mode, alongside other game improvements in an update coming to consoles on January 22. Agent Hunt will allow players to invade other single-player campaigns as one of the enemy zombies, similar to the mechanic in Dark Souls, and attack the invaded player.
The January update also includes difficulty adjustments for certain sections of the campaign, as well as assist for some of Resident Evil 6′s quick-time events.
