No word from publisher on decision to drop titles
Activision’s James Bond games have been pulled from Steam and Activision’s own download store.
Additionally, the games 007 Legends, Blood Stone, and Quantum of Solace no longer show up on Amazon, although the disk versions of the games are still available for purchase.
Activision has yet to comment on the games’ removal but some commentators are pointing to a likely explanation of the publisher’s expiring rights to develop games for the 007 license. However, with 007 Legends only being released on consoles in October and PC in November on PC, the decision to pull the title from sale does seem swift.
007 Legends developer Eurocom was shut down in the weeks following the game’s release.
Whatever the reason, gamers who still want a license to kill will have to find retail disk copies of Activision’s 007 titles.
