Season pass pricing confirmed for post-apocalyptic FPS
4A Games has released details about the upcoming DLC for its latest FPS, Metro: Last Light.
In addition, it was announced that players could purchase a season pass from XBL, PSN, and Steam for $14.99 (£11.99). Those who purchase the season pass will receive an additional weapon called the Abzatys, which is a semi-automatic shotgun rifle that can fire six shells in one shot for its secondary fire mode.
The first DLC, Faction Pack, is set for release in June 2013 and will include new content for the single-player campaign.
Additional single-player content will arrive in the subsequent Chronicles Packs and the Tower Pack. For players wishing to create their own content a Developer Pack will also be released. However, no release dates have been given for the other DLC packs.
Creative director Andrew Prokhorov said, “Artyom’s story may have been concluded in Metro: Last Light, but there are other characters with stories to tell, some familiar locations that fans of the Metro series wanted to revisit, and some new challenges that 4A wanted to explore. Since completing the game we have been working on these new stories and hope to release them throughout the summer.”
PSN Plus subscribers will receive an additional 25 percent discount on the season pass between May 21 and June 4 in the US while subscribers in the rest of the world will have the discount available to them May 22 to June 5.
